Rocketman Sidetable
Rocketman is sculptural sidetable that brings a touch of fun to your lounge, bedroom or just that corner that was missing something. Inspired by a combination of the rocket slides that dotted country Victoria during my childhood, the American sculpters who pioneered stack-lamination and just a touch of a 1970's classic song in the name.
Each Rocketman Sidetable is built up layer by layer from carefully selected, milled and dried pieces of urban salvaged timber, providing a strong, uniform and stable material, ideal for this adventurous design. The stack-laminated blank is then carved by robot, initally with a chainsaw, followed by a rotary cutter to reveal the fun sculptural shape. Each piece is meticulously hand finished to reveal the true beauty of the timber.
This bold piece grabs the eye, and is ideal as a feature piece, sidetable, bedside table or small coffee table and will suit a wide range of interiors, both modern and retro.
